wisewear

At CES 2016, wearables were bigger than ever. There were too many devices to take full stock of all of them, so we picked a few in each category to round up. Notably, fitness trackers are starting to look a lot more like jewelry as creators use metal finishes and target fashionistas in addition to active sports enthusiasts.

A standout was the Samsung booth, where they showed off NFC tags in suits and a solar purse.

Biometric tracking clothes blossomed at CES more than we’ve seen before, with shirts, bras, shoes, and even socks.

Naturally there were many new and revamped smart watches on display at CES this year, and many were obviously influenced by 2015’s Apple Watch release.

VR rigs caught major attention as more content creators jump on board the VR bandwagon: HTC Vive Pre, Oculus, Samsung GearVR, PlayStation VR

The oddball out, in my opinion, are the Bragi Dash smart headphones with gesture control. We’re looking forward to seeing how the new and revamped developments get incorporated into users’ lives this year and even hacked, modded, and open-interfaced to work with DIY electronics!
