Last week the Awesome Games Done Quick video game speed-running marathon took place and one of the coolest features was the TASbot block for tool-assisted speedruns.  These are video game speedruns that use a Raspberry Pi and other hardware to control a game console by playing back prerecorded movements.  With a robot controlling the input amazing things can be done to video games like playing with superhuman skills or even exploiting bugs to take control of the game code.  In the video above you can see TASbot take total control of Super Mario World so that it can be reprogrammed into a Mario maker style game!

You can watch all the TASbot runs from this years event on YouTube:

Great work to all the speedrunners at AGDQ this year!
