Raising section of a desk

Hi Guys,

I'm in the very early stages of designing a desk and would like to build a section of it that lowers and raises.

Reason being, I want it to be my computer desk, and also house my Technics turntables and mixer.

I would like the turntables and mixer to be lowered down with a lid over them most of the time, then be able to open the lid and raise them up.

I'm being quite ambitious with this, but do you think it'd be something thats possible, and how would you suggest I went about doing it?
