Putting in a new dishwasher, but there are wires behind where it'll go...dealbreaker?

I'm wanting to install a new dishwasher in an old house, but there's some wiring coming out of the wall in the only potential installation spot, which the guide specifically says is a no-no. Typically, I follow manuals as closely as possible, but when that means that preparing the installation site will be more work than the installation itself, I find myself compelled to ask people smarter than me whether this is absolutely necessary.

Am I going to have to reroute those wires before putting this dishwasher in, or can I cover them up or just install it as-is?

Thanks.
