Shingle-ing a roof, not sure how to finish edge?

So, I have a chicken coop, I used to have a corrugated fiber glass roof thing screwed into the plywood roof, but it blew off in a storm.

That same storm also damaged the roof on my house, and when we had that repaired, the roofers left a box of matching shingles.

I would like to just shingle the roof of the coop with this box of shingles.

The image I posted shows the shape of the coop from a side view. it's just a flat sloped roof, not an a frame.

I am not really sure what to do with the shingles on the front, higher edge of the roof. If I just start the tiles flush with the edge it seems like that would allow water to get under the shingles, and shingles seem too brittle to be able to wrap them over the edge or anything like that.

I've never shingled anything, I know I need to put down roofing felt first, i'll probably just find some youtube videos for how to actually apply the shingles... It's a chicken coop, not my house, so I figure being sort of bad at it isn't a huge deal.
