The Foam Corps cosplay team made their World of Warcraft Arthas costume special by making his cursed sword prop light up. Frostmourne is a runeblade that glows icy blue. Foam Corps made the prop from wood, Bondo, and plastic and worked with a friend to incorporate blue LEDs that run in sequence to make the eyes of the creature on the hilt glow and then make the runes on the blade light up. They said:
Our friend Wizard Magic built the LED setup and programmed the sequence for us while we finished up the sword itself. I’m seriously so proud of this thing, I spent as much time on it as some of my full cosplay and I love the effects! Definitely planning on using arduino style boards much more often in my builds!
