So this was my idea. I got the idea in the garden furniture section of my local homedepot-like store. It's an electric corn mill that weighs about 6kg (13lbs). I want it to be in the left position, when not in use. But it should be easy to get it in the right position. Random Drawing.
I wanted to use a pulley-system for raising and lowering, and two rods for securing it in the upper position. This was the first idea I had for the pulleysystem, but it did't work even without the rope rubbing on the edges. Then I came up with this system. The tilting towards the back was reduced a lot, but I was still not able to raise and lower it without getting stuck or the mill falling off the lift.
Here is a picture of what it looks like. (Also the rest of the pictures I took http://imgur.com/a/1yVin).
So my question is, is there even a possibility, that it can work the way i imagine? Even with rolls that help guide it up an down, it didn't work (not in the pictures). Are the guiding thingies too imprecise? Should I try using the metal things that make drawers work? Any Advice?
