Are You Like Most Wearing The Wrong Size Bra?

You can improve your posture, appearance and look instantly trimmer when you are wearing the correct undergarments.
Our post is filled with information including charts, guides, and an online calculator. It’s important to find a bra that is well constructed and is the absolute perfect size for you.
A bra that doesn’t fit, or is poorly made, can cause shoulder, neck, and back tension to name a few. It can also cause sagging breasts and a high level of daily discomfort.
You can even end up with the dreaded back bulge right where your strap sits! There is a correct way to measure your breasts so that you ensure a pro fit and it really makes all the difference.
How To Measure Your Underbust Correctly
Stand with your arms resting by your side and ideally get someone else to measure you around your body, directly below the bust. Make sure the tape is right under your breasts, is straight all the way around and is as tight as possible.
This is how the under band of the bra will fit, so the tape should be tight, but not uncomfortable. It’s best to do this measurement while you’re not wearing a bra, or you can do it wearing one, just be careful not to sit the tape over your bra or underwire. This measurement is your UNDERBUST.

How To Measure Your Overbust Correctly
Measure around the fullest part of your bust (usually over the nipple). This is best done while you’re wearing a bra. Hold the tape gently so that the tape is resting lightly on your body. Make sure that the tape measure is straight across your back, and sits parallel to the floor. This is your OVERBUST.

Bra Fitting Guide And Cup Size
- Find your BAND size.– Use a tape measure around your chest and just under your arms above your breast. If your measurement is an odd number, round up or down to the nearest size. This is your band size.
- Find your BUST size.– Measure around the fullest part of your bust. This is your bust size.
- Find your CUP size.– Subtract the band from the bust then check our graphic for your cup size.
Her Room has this excellent infographic that gives you some great assistance when it comes to finding the perfect bra. It’s all about sizing it correctly and of course selecting the right bra for the job so to speak. They all have different purposes and the right one will make all the difference.

What are Bra Sister Sizes?
Essentially, sister size bras have the same cup capacity even though they’re different sizes.By going down in the band size and up in the cup size, the cup capacity of the bra will remain the same. According to Christina Faraj Savarese, the Bra Fit Expert, “You can adjust your bra size and still get the same or similar fit.
via buzzfeed
For example a sister size of 34C is 32D,” As Faraj says “You may be a 34C in a structured push-up bra, but a stretchy lace bra in 34C won’t fit the same. In this case you would try a sister size, either 32D or 36B,” All of the cup sizes that are on the same horizontal line across the above chart are sister sizes.
Whilst it’s hard to believe that every woman has 2 bra sizes, now that you have the knowledge you are a step closer to the perfect fit. Always remember to take into consideration your true size and your sister size. This chart from Sheknows is a keeper.

Cinnamon Rolls Dough Ingredients
makes 12 big rolls
- 3 1/2 cups (440g) flour + extra for dusting
- 25 g fresh yeast (2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast)
- 1 cup (240 ml) lukewarm milk
- 2 tbsp+1 tsp (30g +5g) sugar
- 1 tsp (5g) salt
- 2 eggs
- 4 tbsp (56g) oil or melted butter
Cinnamon Rolls Filling Ingredients
- 5 tbsp (70g) butter, at room temperature
- 2 tbsp (13g) ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup (100g) packed light brown sugar
- Icing
- 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp (5g) vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) milk
How To Make Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
1. Prepare the dough. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar over the yeast and 1/3 cup of the milk. Stir to dissolve.
2. In a large bowl combine flour, 2 tbsp sugar, and salt. Add oil or melted butter, dissolved yeast, eggs and the rest of 2/3 cup milk. Stir to combine and knead until the dough is soft, a bit sticky but quite elastic and pulls away from the side of the bowl. If it feels too soft, you can add extra flour up to 1/2 cup (63g). Let it rest for 10 minutes.
3. In a small bowl combine butter with cinnamon and sugar.
4. On an oiled or floured surface roll the dough in a 12×18 inch (30x45cm) rectangle. Spread butter-cinnamon mixture over the top of the rectangle. Roll the dough, seal the seam with water and cut into 12 equal size rolls. Place on a parchment paper lined (9×13 inch – 23x33cm) tray with 1/2 -1 inch (2 cm) distance between them to allow them to rise.
5. Cover with plastic wrap and let the rolls rise in a warm place for about one hour, until doubled in size. (if the tray is not too tall you might need to grease the plastic wrap so it doesn’t stick).
6. Preheat oven to 350F (180 C).
7. Bake the rolls for about 15-20 minutes until lightly browned.
8. Prepare the glaze. Mix powdered sugar with vanilla and milk and before serving drizzle over the rolls.
9. Serve warm alongside a cup of milk.

Maria Sibylla Merian WHM19 #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenInSTEM
Today we celebrate the life and work of scientific illustrator Maria Sibylla Merian.
Merian was one of the first naturalists to observe insects directly.[4] Merian collected and observed live insects and created detailed drawings. In her time insects still had a reputation as “beasts of the devil” and the process of metamorphosis was largely unknown. While a handful of scholars had published empirical information on the insect, moth and butterfly life cycle, the widespread contemporary believe was that they were “born of mud” by spontaneous generation. Merian documented evidence to the contrary and described the life cycles of 186 insect species.
Merian had started to collect insects as an adolescent and kept a study journal. Aged 13 she raised silk worms and other insects. Her interest turned to moths and butterflies, which she collected and studied. While living in Nuremberg and Frankfurt Merian would travel to the surrounding countryside to search for caterpillar larvae. She recorded their food plants, the timing of their metamorphoses, and noted the behaviour she observed.[30] It was not unusual for naturalists to illustrate their own research, but Merian was among the first professionally trained artists to illustrate her lifelong studies and observations.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
From the mail bag…
It’s been a bit over one year since I first started learning and making things with Adafruit kits and components (see below). My projects are steadily becoming more complex and sophisticated — and more technically challenging! I now have experience with the Feather family including designing an interrupt-driven arbitrary waveform generator, a music synthesizer interface, a time machine movie prop, a workshop corrosion monitor using packet radio, and my first exposure to microPython. My experience working with Adafruit products has also propelled me into designing and building custom ATTiny 85 development PCBs, MCU programmers, and yes, even some analog sound modules. These experiences have also led to greater involvement in our local maker space where I was encouraged to teach.
What’s on the horizon? Well, more Feather applications, of course, but soon I’ll expand into a couple of Pi projects. There are many more ideas in my logbook that are just waiting for my attention.
You continue to amaze me with the depth and innovative breath of your product line, support forums, and educational tutorials. The enthusiasm, dedication, and exceptional positive business philosophy of your staff clearly shine through your product line. To a person, my experience with the Adafruit team has always been stellar. Thank you for continuing to keep my creative spark alive.
