Painting outdoor / entrance way tiles?

Hi all,

We have some entrance way tiles that also lead a bit outside and I think they're really ugly and would love to paint them a neutral colour. I've read all about painting tiles on google and got the general idea of what has to be done.

My main question is has anyone painted tiles before and what will the wear on them be like? Considering its in the entranceway, so it's a high traffic area.... Will they wear and fade pretty quick?
